MARIE BONÉUR
Marie Bonéur is a self taught writer with a degree in information technology. A pioneer of the erotic detective wríting genre, she has gained a large following among fans of erotic and sensual adventures.

Her newest novel, The Balkanese Sausage, is coming out in early fall of 2023 and sure to be another great success for Bonéur.
Marie Bonéur Biography
Marie Bonéur has kept very tight-lipped about her private life. Not much is known about her except that she is Finnish and writes using a pseudonym. She is believed to reside somewhere in the vicinity of Pallivaha and according to the internet, is currently not in a serious relationship.
Marie has only given a handful of interviews and even those only in writing. She says it’s because she has always been shy and feels much more comfortable expressing herself through written word, like poetry. She has revealed that she learned about suppressing emotions and passion at an early age, hinting that it stems from her family history.
Marie Bonéur says she has always felt drawn to the more sensual side of life, and first started putting her thoughts and fantasies in writing as a school girl. Her first publications, the short story Veren tahrima lakana (“The Blood-stained Sheet, 2010) was self-published with assistance from the author’s mother. This delightfully raunchy romp found its way into the hands of a Noiri & Sons agent and they immediately reached out to Marie and offered her a publishing contract.
Her first paperback, Agent G - You only come twice (2012), was her big break. A special English language edition was distributed for sale at train stations throughout Britain. This proved to be a wildly successful marketing strategy and there have been several reprints. Three of Marie’s novels have also been published as audiobooks, narrated by the Finnish erotic voice acting legend, Teemu Mäkinen.
Marie Bonéur’s success has inspired a number of other erotic detective authors to pick up the quill, but she remains the undisputed queen, and has received several Naked Fabios, the most significant literary award of the genre, at the Harlequin Awards.
The next installment in the Artemisia Foxx saga, The Balkanese Sausage, is coming out in the summer of 2023 and already numerous preorders have been made by booksellers and kiosks at train stations and airports all over the globe.
Marie Bonéur writes detective stories but makes them erotic, a delightful amalgamation of hard-boiled and harlequin. Bodice-rippers have traditionally been aimed at female readers, and Marie was the first to combine them with detective mysteries. This has proved a winning combination.
Most of her books follow the sensual adventures of Artemisia Foxx, a beautiful police detective of greek-italian-belarussian-romanian origin. She’s fearless, promiscuous and whip-smart and often finds herself face to face with extremely handsome lawbreakers of all sorts. The rest of Marie’s characters are equally alluring and beautiful in their own versatile ways, these stories really have something for everyone. The central themes of female sexuality and empowerment as well as the strong female main character, Artemisia Foxx, have made Marie Bonéur a feminist icon, and her efforts in advancing women’s rights have been recognised by notable political and non-political entities alike.
Readers love these titillating tales and describe them as impossible to put down, although reading them on the bus might earn one some funny looks from fellow passengers. They’re also popular bedroom reads and have been credited for saving quite a few marriages.
Marie Bonéur has published thirteen paperback novels and one short story.
